I write in the hope that it will reach my mother, Elizabeth who I have missed so much. I write this as a warning to never enter the black house on the hill. Heed this warning and tell my love of my dear mother - may this paper blow on a hopeful wind and reach the place that I have now lost.
It all began walking home unaware of the bizarre happenings at were about to unfold. So I’ll tell it like it was and will recall it with acute memory.
I was walking home from school and chucked some pebbles at the headmaster’s window, then legged it down the cobbles in my shoes that weighed a ton with my wire laces dangerously flaring, speaking of the threat of a broken face. I was grinning to myself as I got away with it, imagining the headmaster in a right old fizzle.

Swarmed with a sea of rats that part under my majestic feet the book was befouled with a sickness of trapped worms and oily tentacle. Most sticky it was, written in italics by the black scholars of southern Spain.
I found it in my academic travels and search of the occult I so stomached for in my youth. Now in my anti Faustian ways I use it as a weapon to ruin my enemies in a most unpleasant way. Well, I say my enemies. Really people, who I find, well, just disagreeable.
So in my gothic dwelling I sit in my dark room - the walls painted blood red in a frenzied thickness with red oils and the blood of pigeons and doves – whatever; I recline on a chair of grandeur upholstered in worn crimson velvet, the floor blackened with dust and ash. This is my library and I decorate it as I see fit.
